Nicola Morey Psychotherapy

Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.

In my work with people who are navigating pain, confusion, or periods of transition, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the many creative ways we adapt in response to stress — whether it’s environmental, relational, or rooted in earlier experiences. These adaptations often help us survive, yet over time they can begin to shape our relationships and our sense of ourselves in ways that feel limiting or overwhelming. With the right support, it becomes possible to gently notice these patterns and explore how they’re affecting your quality of life.

My role is to walk alongside you in this process. I aim to support your growth in ways that honour your values, your pace, and your capacity for choice. I work with the whole person — paying attention to both the physical and psychological aspects of your experience — and I bring myself into the therapeutic relationship as another human being, not as an expert standing outside your life.

I am an accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist with IAHIP with a Postgraduate Diploma from the Gestalt Institute of Ireland, validated by South East Technological University, Carlow (SETU). I am committed to the ethical codes of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

If you feel drawn to explore working together, I invite you to get in touch so we can arrange an initial 50 minute session. This meeting gives you a sense of me and my way of working, and it allows me to understand what kind of support you may need. I offer both short-term (8–10 sessions) and long-term therapy, and we would meet weekly. My fee is €70 per session. I offer in-person sessions in Youghal, Co. Cork, as well as online.
